It all started when…

I woke up one day in my early 40s and felt like I didn’t recognize my own body. My energy was low, my strength had slipped away, and I was suddenly dealing with bloating, joint pain, and brain fog that made everyday life harder than it needed to be. I was doing all the “right” things—eating healthy, moving my body, checking all the boxes—but nothing was working like it used to.

And worse? No one was talking about it.

I felt frustrated and alone, wondering if this was just how midlife was going to be—slower, softer, more tired. As someone who spent years working in medicine and health, I knew something was off… but I didn’t know what to do next. That uncertainty shook me. And I knew other women had to be feeling this too.

But then everything changed…

My turning point came when I started diving into the research on menopause, muscle loss, and bone health—and realized just how much we’re not told as women. I learned that our changing hormones dramatically impact strength, energy, metabolism, and recovery—and that we need a different approach in this chapter.

So, I stopped doing what used to work. I started strength training with intention. I focused on protein. I let go of the idea that cardio was the answer and started training smarter. I prioritized rest, stress, and recovery—not just harder workouts. I shifted my mindset from “shrinking” to “strengthening.”

I began to feel like myself again—only better. I had more energy, I felt leaner and stronger, and the brain fog lifted. My confidence returned. And I finally understood how to work with my body, not against it.
